 Dissolved Gas Analysis of Groundwater (DGW)
Applications: Dissolved gases can be stripped from water for analysis. Water samples can be collected by different methods, depending on the situation. Instructions for collection of samples and sampling containers can be provided upon request. Useful for evaluating potential hazards from these gases.
Sample size required: 300 ml to 1 liter of water. (requires special containers).
Analyses includes: Compositional analysis of hydrocarbons and fixed gases, and calculation of dissolved methane concentration using a head-space equilibration method developed by Isotech specifically for groundwaters.
