MG-2: Level 2 Mudgas Analysis
Applications: Useful in providing further information on maturation levels and migration barriers. Allows better correlation between wells and different stratigraphic units.
Minimum hydrocarbon concentrations: CH4 must exceed 1000ppm, C2H6 400 ppm, and C3H8 400 ppm. Lower concentrations of C2H6 and C3H8 may be analyzed with cryogenic enrichment for an additional $44 per component (standard service). Please call for further information on concentration limits for enrichments.
Analyses includes: All analysis in the MG-1 plus determination of the δ13C of CH4, C2H6 and C3H8 by compound specific GC-C-IRMS (gas chromatography-combustion-isotope ratio mass spectrometry)
