Applications: Differentiating waters from different origins. Can sometimes be used to identify the influx of landfill leachate. Can be carried out on small samples.
Sample size required: 25 ml of water, 100 ml preferred.
Analyses includes: δD and δ18O of H2O and δ13C of dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC).
