Perth Lab

Third satellite laboratory opens in Perth
Isotech recently improved service to "the land down under" with the opening of a new satellite laboratory in Perth, Australia.Through a unique affiliation with GEOTECH who is also a distributor of Isotech sampling products, we can now provide quality isotopic analyses faster than ever for clients in Australia and southeast Asia. The lab opened in July 2009, joining our expanding global network of satellite labs in Cairo, Egypt and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Truly an Isotech system
The new Isotech Satellite Laboratory in Perth provides compositional analysis, plus continuous-flow carbon isotope analysis of CO2 and C1 to C5 hydrocarbons, and hydrogen isotope analysis of C1 — all with the same quality generated in our Champaign facility.

• All analytical systems were assembled and tested in our Champaign laboratory before shipment to Perth and installation by our trained scientists.
• The analytical systems, procedures, and methods used in Perth are the same as those used in our Champaign laboratory.
• The QA/QC procedures followed in Perth are the same as those used in our Champaign laboratory.
• GEOTECH personnel load samples into autosamplers, then analyses are initiated and monitored by Isotech scientists via the internet.
• Raw instrument data is transferred to Isotech for review and calibration by the same scientists who regularly perform this function in our Champaign laboratory.
• Isotech Certified data is then emailed back to GEOTECH for distribution to customers.

Water Laser System

New water analysis technique saves time and money
Because Isotech is at the forefront of adopting the latest technologies, we've added a new Cavity Ringdown Spectroscopy (CRDS) system for analysis of hydrogen and oxygen (D and 18O) in water — and we're passing the time and cost savings on to our customers. Standard two-week turnaround is $20 per sample for both analyses with rush turnaround available for $40 per sample. As always, our commitment to quality assurance and nearly 25 years' experience remain part of every analysis we perform.
