Isotech’s satellite laboratory in Perth opened in July 2009 through a unique affiliation with GEOTECH, and is now located in the Weatherford Labs facility.

The satellite laboratory provides Isotech quality data for clients throughout Australia and southeast Asia without the cost and delays resulting from the shipment of samples to our headquarters in Champaign, Illinois, USA.

The satellite laboratory is remotely monitored and controlled via the Internet. Instruments in Perth are calibrated daily and outputs are transmitted directly to our Champaign lab for analyses where the data review and calibration is carried out by the same scientists who have been regularly performing this function for many years. Findings are then reported back to clients by Weatherford, usually within days, rather than weeks.

The satellite lab provides compositional analysis, plus continuous-flow carbon isotope analysis of CO₂ and C₁ to C₅ hydrocarbons, and hydrogen isotope analysis of C₁—all with the same quality generated in our Champaign facility.
